Job Summary
The Accounts Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. This role involves supervising daily bookkeeping tasks, ensuring timely and precise accounting entries, and performing bank reconciliations. The Accounts Team Lead will prepare and analyse financial reports, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Lead and manage the accounting team, providing direction, support, and mentorship to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure efficient and accurate financial transactions.
- Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards like IFRS and GAAP, as well as company policies.
- Maintain internal controls to ensure data accuracy.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Coordinate with external auditors to complete audits on time.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and providing cost-saving insights.
- Develop and implement accounting policies to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with other teams to achieve company financial goals.
- Resolve accounting issues and discrepancies as they arise.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in accounting and finance
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Proficient in accounting software
- Knowledge of finance regulation and laws
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
